Why is hobbyking always out of stock

Just know what you are buying and from which warehouse. Their US Oregon warehouse is handy to most US customers and free shipping with minimum orders is quite attractive.

The Hong Kong warehouse can ship stuff by post but some things can only come FedEx and other courier type shippers again, brokerage. Along the way, you'll hear of shops that you won't know if it's a good idea to buy from.

You can only ask. Yeah, there are still scammers out there that pretend to be legit and even have names that resemble the "real thing". Occasionally very long shipping times. No other issues. If it has to go by ship across the pacific, the customs office can take a month to get around to checking the container and allowing the contents to go to their warehouse.

When I order from the USA warehouse very carefully the package normally gets to my house in 3 to 5 days. Scott B. Oct 30, , PM. I've Purchased from HobbyKing for several years. They have some great aircraft and other great products. You just have to understand how they work I only buy the aircraft from the US Warehouses due to shipping costs from China. Parts and other small items are OK from the China warehouse, but it does take a couple of weeks to get them due to customs, etc.

I find the quality and service to be very good these days. My only issue is that once an airplane has been on the market for a while, or is no longer available, the parts are also not available. It's a good idea to buy spares for easily broken items like props, landing gear, etc. I've only had problems with two Hobby King products. The other was with a P mini plane that was supposed to compatible with Spektrum TXs, but wasn't.

Jan 24, , PM. Welcome to "Hobby King" I have bought select planes; parts; batteries and accessories from them for a few years. They are definitely not as streamlined; accurate and proper about their business as Motion RC is. HK is very "arcane" about their practices and models actually "freeze in time". In other words, they sit there out of stock for eons and then suddenly they have stock!

But, it's a small window of opportunity and then that product goes back into "suspended animation" for eons again The Hong Kong warehouse is always subjected to the daily life of China like; "Coronavirus Outbreak"; "Chinese New Year" that lasts 2 weeks; "The Hong Kong Protests" and the regular and unbelievable shipping logistics that China has to deal with on a weekly basis Try it out and get used to long wait times and weird moments.

Otherwise, they try like everyone else does Originally posted by Sijohn View Post. Originally posted by xviper View Post. You're right. Search forums.

I ordered about a dozen props and a couple batteries a couple of weeks ago and I kind of got concerned when none of it showed by today.

Every order I've ever made before now from the Portland warehouse got to me in under a week. I don't usually check the tracking since it doesn't speed anything up so there's not really any purpose to, but the few times I have I find it to be pretty accurate. Well when I went to check it today it said something like "Shipping label created: UPS awaiting item" or whatever as it does whenever you've just ordered something.

Problem is, I placed the order two weeks ago. Maybe the tracking thing and the postal service just in general is laggy? I also bought some stuff the same day from Banggood's USA warehouse which I believe is in California and it got here with no problems whatsoever. I'm confused I love the coronapocalypse!

Apr 1, My buddy ordered from the Oregon warehouse last week and his stuff arrived today I wonder if 1 or 2 items were on backorder from their online inventory being off and they held the whole order for a missing part or 2? Re: HobbyKing seems very Out of Stock Post by Ypedal » Apr 18 pm try the international china warehouse Post by chuttney1 » Apr 18 pm Most of the SK3 motor I've looked on their website were backordered for a while.

They still are as of today. I would expect restock to take only a week or two, but it seems like it takes 3 months to restock. Returns are also what I take into account if I do have to, but something I hope to not do.

Post by mjp » Apr 18 pm Also I just got ignored right off their chat help--I wasn't even asking the retarded questions I do on this forum sometimes worth ignoring , and I wasnt being rude or anything either. Do they not have a simple phone number or an email? I'm starting to wondering why ES. I guess if you know exactly what you want, and it's in stock, and you never need to talk to someone, they do the job I assume.

I find the HK packs more then adequate. I mean for the capacity and quality of internal resistance, these ones are hard to beat. And the prices are somewhat the lowest from them. I like the 12S option better. Post by CSN » Apr 18 pm I've noticed some helicopter batteries that are 10c and 8ah Would the 10c discharge rate be too low for eboards?

Post by torqueboards » Apr 18 pm 10C is fine depending on if it's single motor or not. Post by higrade » Apr 19 am i just order a motor that had to be shipped from the international wearhouse used dhl and it took 3 days to reach, I am in NY was surprised really amazed that it was so short.

Post by dirkdiggler » Apr 20 pm I run the 4s hardcase packs on my bike at 12s and its the cheapest option. You can't go wrong. Plus, I've had 6s packs lose one cell and they are that much more expensive to replace. Nice that you can plug the 4s packs into each other to make a 12s battery and don't need a series wire. Saves the extra wiring. A parallel charging board makes charging the same no matter how many batteries you use.

At least up to six.
